What Preset Dashboards Are
Instead of starting with a completely blank Custom Dashboard canvas, you can now choose a Preset — a pre-built dashboard with relevant widgets already configured for a specific operational focus. When you apply a preset, you get your own fully editable copy of that dashboard. Change anything, add widgets, remove sections, rename it — it's yours.
This eliminates the "blank canvas" problem where admins weren't sure what widgets to add or how to structure a useful dashboard.
Available Presets
Five dashboard presets are available:
- Projects Completion — track how consistently your scheduled work is being completed across locations
- Inspections — audit and inspection results, scores, and trends
- Work Orders — facilities work order volume, status, and resolution tracking
- Flagged & Corrective — flagged items and corrective tasks created from checklist submissions
- Response Analytics — checklist response data and completion trends
How to Use a Preset Dashboard
- Go to Reporting → Custom Dashboards (View Dashboards in the left sidebar)
- Click Start from a Preset in the top right (next to + Create Dashboard)
- Browse the available preset options
- Select the preset that matches your reporting need
- A fully editable copy is added to your Custom Dashboards list — it opens immediately ready to customize

What You Can Do After Applying a Preset
- Rename the dashboard to something specific (e.g., "District 3 — Work Orders")
- Add widgets for additional data points
- Remove widgets that aren't relevant to your team
- Apply filters — by location, date range, template, or role
- Share access — configure which roles can view this dashboard
- Set as home screen for a specific role
Presets are starting points, not locked configurations. Every element is fully editable after you apply them.
Why This Matters
Custom dashboards are one of the most powerful features in Xenia — but historically required knowing which widgets to add and how to structure them. Presets remove that barrier. Start from something that already makes sense for your operational role, then adapt it to your specific workspace.
