1. The Most Common Cause: Force-Closing the App
If you force-close the Xenia app (swiping it away from the app switcher) while a checklist is open, your most recent unsaved responses from the last few seconds may not be preserved. Everything that was auto-saved before the force-close is retained — but the very last thing you did may be lost.
How to avoid it: When you need to stop mid-checklist, tap the back arrow (←) within the app — not the swipe-away gesture. Tapping back triggers an auto-save. Force-closing does not.
2. Finding Your In-Progress Checklist
If you exited correctly using the back arrow:
- Find the task on your home screen or Work tab — it shows In Progress
- Tap it → tap Continue — your progress is restored
Or: side menu → My Draft Submissions — all in-progress checklists are listed here.
3. If the Progress Is Genuinely Gone
If you force-closed the app and your progress isn't there when you return — you may need to re-answer the last few steps from where you left off. Most earlier responses should still be saved. Start from Continue and look for unanswered steps.
If the task was for today and the due time is still in the future — reopen it and complete it now. If the due time has passed, it may be Overdue — complete and submit immediately and add a comment explaining what happened.
