Why Is My Task Showing as Overdue When I Completed It?

This article explains how to understand and resolve overdue task statuses. You will learn how to identify why a task is marked overdue and the steps to complete it properly.

1. Two Possible Reasons

Reason 1 — You saved progress but didn't submit: In Xenia, tapping Go Back saves your progress — it does not submit the checklist. If you exited the checklist using Go Back and didn't return to submit, the task is still open. After the due time, it becomes Overdue.

Fix: Find the task in your Work tab (it shows In Progress). Tap it, tap Continue, finish the remaining steps, and tap Submit.

Reason 2 — You submitted after the due time: If you completed and submitted the checklist after the due time passed, the task shows as Completed Late — not Overdue. But it may look similar on some screens. A Completed Late task is done — nothing more required. A still-Overdue task needs you to submit it.

Check: Open the task. If there's a Submit button or Continue button, it hasn't been submitted yet. If it shows a submission timestamp and completed status, it was submitted late and is done.

This article explains why tasks may appear overdue and how to complete or submit them properly to update their status. For more information, see related articles on task management and submission processes.
