This article explains the differences between pausing and deleting a project. You will learn how each action affects task generation and data retention.

1. Understand Pausing and Deleting Effects

Pausing a Project

  • Future task generation stops immediately
  • Tasks already generated that are open or in progress remain visible and completable
  • Historical tasks and submissions are fully preserved
  • Re-activating resumes generation from the current date — missed tasks during the pause are not retroactively created
  • Paused schedules can be resumed at any time

Deleting a Project

  • Future task generation stops permanently
  • The project is removed from Operations → Projects
  • All historical tasks and submissions are preserved — they remain in the task board and reporting
  • The template used by the project is unaffected
  • Cannot be undone

If you need to stop a project temporarily: pause, don't delete. Paused projects can be resumed. Deleted projects cannot be restored.
