1. Understand Task Completion Limits
The Answer
Completed tasks cannot be reopened or re-submitted through the standard workflow. The submission record is permanent.
If the data was incorrect and needs correcting: Admins with the appropriate template-level "Can Edit Submission" permission can edit the responses in a completed submission. Operations → Templates → Submissions → open the specific submission → Edit responses.
If a new submission is needed: If submission mode allows ad hoc submissions, the employee can submit the template again as a fresh submission. The admin can note in the original submission that it was superseded.
If it was accidentally marked complete: There is no undo. Options: edit the submission if the data is wrong, or create a manual one-off task and document the correction in the task notes.
