1. The Fix
Role changes take effect immediately on the server. The user's current session may be showing cached data.
- Confirm the change saved — Settings → Users → their profile → verify the role shown is the new one
- Ask them to fully close and reopen the Xenia app (force-close on mobile, not just background it)
- On web: log out and back in, or hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 on Windows / Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)
If after a full restart the old view persists: check whether they're logged into a different account or workspace entirely.
Important: Changing a role doesn't automatically update location membership. If the role change was meant to reduce access, you may need to remove location memberships separately.
