Why Can't My User See Their Checklist?

This article explains how to troubleshoot checklist visibility issues in the Xenia application. You'll learn how to verify template status, role permissions, and submission settings to resolve checklist access problems.

1. The Fix — Work Through These in Order

1. Is the template published? Operations → Templates → open the template → Publish tab → confirm status shows Published. Unpublished templates are invisible to everyone except admins in the builder.

2. Is "Access Operations Templates" ON for their role? Settings → Roles → their role → scroll to permissions → confirm the toggle is on. If off, they see no template tab at all.

3. Is their role listed in the template's "Can Submit"? Operations → Templates → template → Settings → Access → Can Submit. If their role isn't listed, the template is completely invisible to them — not locked, just gone. Add their role.

4. What is the submission mode? Same Settings → Access area. If set to "Project-based only" and no active project is deploying this template to their role, they won't see it ad hoc. Switch to "Both" or create a project.

5. Is the user in the correct role? Settings → Users → find the user → confirm their assigned role matches the one listed in Can Submit.

This article guided you through verifying checklist visibility by checking template status, role permissions, and submission settings. For more information, see related articles on template management and role configuration.
